The Triage Registered Nurse functions as a member of the physician practice team by assisting the OB doctor on call with emergency calls from 6pm to 7am. The Triage Nurse duties include taking incoming and outgoing triage phone calls from patients, scheduling appointments, contacting patients with lab and test results and providing patient education. Coordinating patient care with day triage RN & communicating with patients. Assist with communicating needed healthcare to current patients through Epic My Chart messaging and collaborating with physician in completing patient medical forms. The Triage Nurse will rarely provide face to face patient care.

 

Experience
Previous medical office experience in OB/GYN, and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience, preferred.

 

Education

License
Current Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license required.

Skills
Excellent communication skills; excellent team skills; compassionate and caring; accountable; self-directed. Able to prioritize medial emergency phone calls, explain lab/test results, and communicate effectively within the patients level of understanding.
